Building A Snowman

Last Friday it snowed!
It was only a couple inches and it melted pretty fast, actually it was gone by the end of the day.
But I made sure we got out and enjoyed it while we could!

She was SO excited to make a snow angel!
As you can see there wasn't a whole lot of snow!
We also made a small snowman
Happy snowman :)
And who doesn't love a snowball fight!
Even though it didn't stay long we sure enjoyed it!
Do you get snow?

Gingerbread Houses

Time to build a ginger bread house!

She waited pretty patiently while we put these bad boys together.
Finally time to decorate......

Decorating is serious business
look at that concentration!

And the finished houses.

Day Of Snow

Day of Snow
Has by far been my FAVORITE thing we've done on that list!
They had everything from
Sledding
Kids rides
Zip Line
Real Reindeer
Go Karts
Tons of crafts
Story in the theater
Food
It was an amazing event!
Sledding was her favorite!

Here's a short clip of Hailey sledding.

Going for a ride in Butter Cup

So many crafts but of course this is the one she really wanted to do.
Ice cream cone for the tree
Green frosting
Candy to decorate
It was there one minute and the next it was gone!

Stories!
'The Biggest Snowball Ever!'

I thought it was pretty cool that they had a zip line!
What a fun and memorable day!

Christmas Parade

We went to a Christmas Parade!
I'm not going to lie.
It was a little disappointing,
but we had never been so we had to go at least once!
Plus it was only 30 minutes long, which was nice because it was COLD outside!

Staying warm!

Unicycles were pretty cool!

Hello Santa!
Or
rather goodbye.
Does your town do a Holiday Parade?

Kid's DIY Winter Craft

We've been keeping busy with our winter bucket list!
We've done a lot of crafts this month but this one by far
has been my favorite!
Here's how we did it, so you can do it too!
All you need is:
Canvas
Paint
Masking tape

I then made a snowflake design with the tape

And then I let Hailey go to town with the paint!

After it dried was the fun part!
Taking off all the tape to reveal.............

A beautiful Snowflake!!

No project is complete around here without glitter!
So i painted the the snowflake with white paint and she sprinkled it with glitter

I Just had to get in on the fun too!
I glittered that canvas up big time!

Love her little masterpiece!

Ellie

This month we had a little visitor come to our house.

Meet Ellie

So far she's been a good little elf

Just hanging around keeping an eye on Hailey

And leaving some reminders

Hailey loves searching for Ellie everyday.

So do you have a little elf at your house?

Time For Chili

........Not just Chili
BUT
the best chili EVER!
(in my humble opinion)
This is my absolute favorite chili recipe!
(and i'm not a huge chili fan)
I only make half a recipe because that is more than enough for my small family!

It's called
The Bizy Mommys Best Chili Recipe.
(You can find the full details here)
Ingredients:
1 Tbs oil
1 onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 lb beef
1 lb sausage (I use mild)
1 can light red kidney beans (drained)
1 can chili beans (I use mild)
1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
2 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
4 beef bouillion cubes
4 cups water
1.5 Tbs chili powder
1/4 Tbs red pepper flakes
1.5 Tbs onion powder
2 Tbs garlic powder
1 Tbs ground cumin
1 Tbs parsley
3/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp pepper
1 Tbs salt

First i start with chopping the veggies

Saute the veggies
and then add
the
MEATS

After the Meat is cooked
add the
Broth,tomatoes,crushed tomatoes and beans.

And the seasonings.

Bring to a boil.
At that point, i like to transfer it to a
Crock Pot

I'll leave it on high for 1 hour
and then i'll turn it on
Low
for at least 3-4 hours
or until i'm ready to eat it, the longer the better!

After that devour!
So,so good!

I know its a winner if i can get my daughter to eat it!
Full tummy - Check!
