No Sew Bean Bags

I'm really excited to share this NO SEW project because i always seem to do sewing tutorials.
Its kind of nice to switch it up once and awhile.
So here are some super easy no sew
BEAN BAGS
are you ready?
I used:
Felt
dry beans (not pictured)
scissors
hot glue gun

First i cut 2 hearts out of the felt
I left my attached a little at the bottom but you don't have too.

Then i started gluing around the edge of the 2 hearts but left a small opening..............

To fill with beans,
once i filled it 2/3 full of beans i glued the opening shut

I tried to enlist some help from Hailey to fill the the hearts with beans
she did a couple, but she thought that making shapes out of the beans was WAY more fun!

So there you got it!

Once again i LOVE the simple projects that have possibilities...
you could do any shape or size you wanted.
I did hearts because it was close to valentines day.
In the end i found red poster at home and made this tic-tac-toe for the bean bags
(thank you pinterest for that idea!)

I'll mark this one as a success!

Valentines Day 2013

Valentines Day 2013
Nothing special, but here it is in a nutshell.
I've decided this year to really set down some "traditions"
So besides doing the "14 days of Valentines" for Hailey which she LOVED!
These are the other little things we did on the day of Love.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We started the day with Pink Heart shaped pancakes
I couldn't get the middle picture to flip for the life of me!
Coloring Disney princess posters
Painting nails- Hailey LOVES to paint her nails and she actually not to bad at it!
Heart shaped cheese quesadillas for lunch.....
I think that was a winner.
Later in the day as we were headed to dinner we spotted this very "valentine's day" horse.
Red Robin.
Since it was my birthday month i got a free burger
and
Ice cream sundae
It was SO good!
After eating we made our way over to one of our favorite places in Everett.
The Children's museum!
After wearing ourselves out at the museum we came home and this is what i found!
It was delicious!
I'd have to say that Valentines day 2013 was not to bad this year!
Valentine's Day Decorations
So this year i wanted to "gussy up" and make my 6" wide mantel look pretty for Valentines Day.
Still not sure how i feel about how it looks.
There seems to be a lot of jumble.
But that being said
the fact that i put any effort into decorating for Valentines Day
(and had the nerve to post it on my blog)
Makes me Happy!
(And you know there's always hope for improvement next year!)
So here you go......
Here's how i made the WREATH
And the Heart Art
The White Heart Banner i made with supplies from Joanns
You can see how i painted the pink Vases HERE
White Vase was a killer deal at Michael's!
And the Jar with the purple sequin balls was also a steal from Michael's as well!
The Tulips are from Michael's......wow i sure did find a lot of good deals at Michael's!
So what did you think?
Did you decorate for Valentines Day?
If so leave a link I'd love to see it!
Candy Heart Art
A couple weeks ago i did a little heart art with Hailey.
And it was super easy.
As you can tell!
I used a flat piece of canvas
A glue gun
And Candy hearts
She loves craft projects!
It's a heart!
Putting down the pieces
One of the easiest and fun craft projects i've done with Hailey!
Love It!!
Painting Vases
I think we've all seen the painted vases somewhere on the Internet.
I decided it was time to give it a try.
A little something pink for my valentine's day mantel.
And yes, it is as easy as it looks!
I used a vase
and Pink paint
All I did was squeeze some paint into the vase and watch it make its way down.
It was  pretty slow but entertaining at the same time
After i had gotten paint on every spot i turned it upside down for a couple minutes and let the extra paint drip down.
Then I just turned it right side up and had some very pretty vases!
Have you ever painted vases before?
